Baptismal Journey

"The Lord's loved ones are precious to Him" -Psalm 116:14

2017 marks our 55th year as a congregation.  Over the past 53 years 1075+ have become members of God's loving family. Glory to God! In 2005 we began our 'Growing in Christ Nursery Roll' program. Since then, 75 children have been welcomed into God's family at St. Paul. Our 'Growing in Christ Nursery Roll' program provides new parents with resources to help them with their child's spiritual growth. Ten packets are sent to the family during the first three years of their child's life. The materials are designed to assist in keeping a connection between the family and their church home until the child is ready for Sunday School. Sunday School

We offer a unique, child-centered, family-friendly Sunday School Program for children age 3 (By December 1 of the current school year) through high school. We meet every Sunday from September through May, except for Christmas week and Easter. In addition to our regular weekly classes, we offer special family events throughout the year, including:

  • Christmas Express
  • Easter Path (Palm Sunday)
  • Finale Rally (May)
  • Together in Faith (By class, throughout the year)

New families are always welcome! Our program seeks to develop knowledge of our faith and its importance to our lives. We have a devoted and loving staff that works with families and children to develop positive Christian values and relationships with each other and our Lord. Together in Faith

Each Sunday School class participates in a special program once a year, led by our Sunday School teachers, members of our congregation, and Pastor. These classes involve parents and children in hands-on learning about a developmentally appropriate theme:

  • Pre-K - Praying Together / The Keys
  • Primary A - The Lord's Prayer / The Ten Commandments
  • Primary B - What's Fair
  • Third Grade - Opening the Bible
  • Fourth Grade - The Apostles' Creed
  • Fifth Grade - Real Life Faith

First Communion Class

First Communion Classes are held on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 during Lent. This class is for youth in Fifth Grade and above who have not received their First Communion in a Lutheran Church.  We have class each Wednesday for five weeks so that the youth will know and appreciate the gift God gives them in the Holy Communion.  A parent is required to attend with the youth and participate in the learning activities.  At the conclusion of the session, each youth is interviewed by an Elder.  The leader of the class is Vicar Bob.

The youth may receive their First Communion on Palm Sunday at 8:00 or 10:15 a.m., Maundy Thursday at 7:30 p.m., or Easter Sunday at 8:00, 9:30 or 11:00 a.m.  If you wish further information and a registration form, please call the church office.  We rejoice that our Lord Jesus gave us this meal of his body and blood for the forgiveness of our sins and the nourishment of our faith and life in Him.
